About

Thank you for visiting my website.

My name ist Fabian, callsign DC1SAF since 1999, when I was 16 years old.

After high school I studied physics at the university of Tuebingen, Germany.
In addition, I have also specialized in media studies and electronics and worked for a local radio and TV broadcast station.

My diploma thesis was about developing a low temperature transimpedance preamplifier, amplifing very low currents in the atto and femto ampere region, using special techniques to limiting interference thingies like triboelectric effects, influence of cable capacity and leakage and 1/f noise -- phenomena one would never think of when dealing with currents in the micro and milli ampere region.  Besides having worked with typical laboratory equipment like DMM, oscilloscope and SMU, I have special knowledge of some more special equipment like Dynamic Signal Analyzer (HP 3562A), Spectrum Analyzers and Vector Network Analyzers.

I am a proud member of DARC and AATiS.

Looking forward to meeting you on the bands.

Fabian, DC1SAF
